On the last day of the camp, Thailand celebrates Songkran. The holiday takes place from April 13th to 15th, and marks the traditional New Year.
It is a time for joy, reflection, renewal, and cleansing, marked by pouring water over Buddha statues and dousing friends and family. Koh Tao celebrates with a day long water gun fight across the whole island.

Phill Schwartz is a second-degree black belt under Eddie Bravo and a leading voice in modern no-gi jiu-jitsu. Phill has spent more than a decade building one of the most respected and innovative academies in the Pacific Northwest—known for its technical precision, high-level culture, and student-focused approach to growth.
A passionate coach, competitor, and community builder, Phill has guided hundreds of athletes from their first day on the mats to competition-ready proficiency. His teaching blends Constraint-Led Approach (CLA) methodology with the signature fluidity and creativity of the 10th Planet system, making his instruction both deeply conceptual and immediately practical.
